FetchWE GET IT TO YOUBack to Fetch

Privacy notice

Last updated 26 July 2026

The short version. We collect the few things a mission cannot happen without: your email, the two addresses, what you are sending, and where the runner is while they are carrying it. We do not sell any of it, we do not run advertising on it, and we never see your card number.

This notice explains what personal data Fetch handles and what you can do about it. Fetch is the data controller for everything described here.

What we collect, and why

Your account

An email address, because that is how you sign in and how we send you anything about a mission. A name and a phone number, because a runner standing at your door needs to know who they are looking for and how to reach you. That is the whole account.

The mission itself

The pickup and delivery addresses with their coordinates, any door code, floor or instruction you add, a description of what is being carried, its declared value, and the route between the two points. We need every one of these to price the mission, dispatch it and get it to the right door. Saved addresses stay in your account only because you chose to save them, and you can delete any of them at any time.

Runner location

A runner's device reports its position only while a mission is live, from the moment they accept until the moment they hand the item over. It is switched off outside that window. It exists so you can see where your thing is and so we can settle a dispute about what happened. You never see a runner's location when they are not carrying something for you.

Handover photos

The runner photographs the item at the pickup and again at the delivery. Those two photos are the proof that the right item reached the right hands, and they are attached to the mission so both of you can see them.

Payments

Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider. They never touch Fetch's systems and we cannot see your card number. What we hold is the amount, the currency, the status of the authorisation and the provider's reference for it.

Support

If you open a support ticket, we keep what you wrote and what we did about it, attached to the mission it concerns.

Where it lives

All of it sits in a Supabase Postgres database hosted in the Paris region (eu-west-3). Your data does not leave the European Union in the normal running of the service. Access is restricted at the database itself: row level security means one customer's missions are simply not readable by another, and a runner can only see the mission they are actually on.

Who else sees it

  • Your runner sees what they need to do the job: the addresses, the instructions, the item description and your first name and phone number. Not your other missions, not your saved addresses, nothing from before they accepted.
  • Our payment provider processes the card.
  • Address and routing services receive addresses to resolve and route them. Addresses come from the Base Adresse Nationale, the French state address register, and routes from OpenStreetMap based routing.
  • Nobody else. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build profiles for anyone else's benefit.

How long we keep it

  • Account details: while your account exists.
  • Missions, and the invoices attached to them: kept for as long as French accounting and tax law requires us to keep records of a transaction.
  • Location traces: kept only as long as they are useful for proving what happened on a mission, then deleted.
  • Handover photos: kept with the mission, then deleted on the same schedule.

Delete your account and we remove your profile and saved addresses. Records we are legally obliged to keep are retained in the narrowest form the law allows.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to do all of the following, and we will answer within one month:

  • Access: a copy of everything we hold about you.
  • Correction: fix anything wrong. Your name and phone number you can edit yourself on your account page.
  • Deletion: erase your account and the data we are not legally required to keep.
  • Portability: receive your data in a machine readable file.
  • Objection and restriction: object to a particular use, or ask us to freeze it while a question is settled.

Write to bonjour@fetch-france.com from the address on your account and say what you want. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority.

Cookies

We set the cookies that keep you signed in. That is all they do. There is no advertising tracker on this site and no third party analytics following you around it.
